What is a dietary supplement?

Dietary supplements are products meant to be an easy way to get the nutrients your body needs, but you may not be getting through your daily diet. These products typically come in the form of capsules, gummies, and powder that dissolves in water.

Are dietary supplements regulated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)?

Within the U.S., the FDA does not classify dietary supplements as drugs, and as a result they are not subject to FDA regulation.

What are the benefits of taking dietary supplements?

Dietary supplements are meant to supplement your diet. No matter how well we eat we still may be deficient in key vitamins and minerals that our bodies needs to function properly. Supplements are there to help fill in the gaps.

Further, we are constantly discovering new ingredients that can help support your body and your performance. These ingredients may not be easily accessible through a regular diet, so supplements make it easier and more convenient.

Are NANO dietary supplements safe?

Here at NANO we use the saying, “Everything in moderation”. Each product label has a recommended daily serving that is safe for you to ingest.

What scientific studies show the efficacy of dietary supplements?

There is a plethora of research available pertaining to the efficacy of the ingredients within our products. Most supplement companies base their products on this research; however, why stop there?

NANO is founded on the foundation of science and research, it is for that reason we will be performing and publishing peer reviewed research exploring the effects of our products.

How do I know if the supplement I'm taking is working?

With most of the supplements you may not feel the effects immediately after consuming them. Just like with exercise adaptation takes time, and it can take a few weeks to start feeling the benefits. However, with some products like our Nitric Shock pre-workout you should start to feel the effects within 5-10 minutes.

How long will it take for the supplements to start working, when will I notice a benefit?

It depends on the supplement that you are taking. Some products like our Nitric Shock pre-workout are fast acting and you’ll begin to experience the effects within 5-10 minutes. However, with other supplements like our men’s and women’s multivitamins it may be a few weeks until you start feeling the effects.

What are the best times to take my supplements?

This depends on the supplement. For our Nitric Shock Pre-workout we suggest taking it 5-10 minutes before your workout. Others like our vitamins are easiest to take in the morning with your first meal. We provide instructions for use on the label for each of our products along with the suggested serving size.

How much of a nutrient is too much?

Every nutrient is different. All of the ingredients with the products sold by NANO Rx are well within safe concentrations. Yet, it is possible to have too much of a good thing. How do I know if nutrition information I find on the internet is reliable?

There can be a lot of misleading information, especially about dietary supplements, on the internet. All of our blog posts are reviewed by our Ph.D. experts to certify that all of the information is reliable and accurate. How can I get more information about a particular dietary supplement such as whether it is safe and effective?

Should I take my dietary supplements all at once or throughout the day?

It depends on the supplements that you are taking. Supplements like vitamins and energy/mood enhancers are typically best consumed in the morning; however, other products like our Resto-nighttime recovery are best consumed right before you go to sleep.

Can I take more than what is recommended on the label?

Our serving size recommendations are made with your health and safety in mind. We would not recommend taking more than the daily recommened dose specified on the product label.

What is the Daily Value?

The daily value is a guideline for how much of that nutrient you need on a daily basis to maintain your health.

What supplements should not be taken together?

The majority of supplements we offer at NANO Rx are considered safe to be taken together. The only caution we advise is to limit your total caffeine intake to no more than 400 mg per day. The caffeine content is clearly stated on the labels of products that do contain caffeine.

Is it safe for children to take supplements?

Children are at a unique point in the development of their bodies, and as a result have different nutritional requirements than adults. The products we currently offered by NANO Rx are specifically designed with adults in mind and are not recommended for use in children.
